NASHVILLE, TN (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) – Alt-country crooner Will Hoge is expected to make a full recovery after being seriously injured in a motor scooter accident in Nashville.

Hoge, 35, was struck by a van that failed to yield when making a turn onto Nashville Street on August 20th, the Tennessean reported. The driver of the van was not injured and police do not suspect the alcohol or drugs were an element in the crash.

Hoge left a promising career with a major record label to record and tour as an independent artist, with his rock-country tunes, The Tennessean said.

Hoge's Web site said he was busy this month recording a new album in Nashville, a follow-up to his last successful album "Draw the Curtains" when the accident happened. According to the The Tennessean, he was to perform in Nashville in September as part of the 2008 Americana Music Festival. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
