As a site, it’s no secret that we’re big fans of country music, so we’re always delighted when we stumble upon a new hidden gem.
Mason Grace are a country trio made up of vocalist and guitarist Josh Paige, vocalist Jynette Lynell, and bandleader, vocalist, composer and multi-instrumentalist Jeff Aulich. The trio’s unique name derives from a combination mason jars (which Jynette uses as flower vases, candle holders and spice jars) and the song ‘Amazing Grace’, a collective favourite amongst the band with Josh stating that “it is through the grace of God that we all came together.”
The band joined forces after Jynette’s group shared stages with Josh’s band, an aggregation which also included Jeff. With audiences telling them that they sounded like a giant country choir, the bands naturally merged and became Mason Grace.
All three members come from very different backgrounds, which adds diversity to their sound. Josh was raised on a horse ranch in California and later moved to Nashville. Jynette started out as a local artist in Florida having grown up on “God and good country music”. She later made the move to Tennessee. Jeff grew up in Vacaville, California and served as a worship band leader having gained a Bachelor’s degree in Theology.
Mason Grace’s roots and wide range of musical influences have allowed them to create a strong, authentic sound which will resonate with many. In recent months, the band have put their own creative spin on hit songs whilst also releasing their own anthemic music.
Their most recent track is ‘Magic’, which was premiered by Country Fancast. The song encourages us to appreciate the magic we have in our lives before it’s too late. In this day and age, it’s so easy to lose what’s in front of us and take for granted the people or little things which light up our lives. ‘Magic’ is an emotive song with a feel-good beat which showcases Mason Grace’s harmonious vocals and infectious energy.
When Mason Grace aren’t busy touring, all three members continue to share their musical talents with the world. Both Josh and Jynette are active songwriters in Nashville whilst Jeff is an in-demand studio musician.
