A true passion that Stewart has wanted to pursue for years, Dirty Weekend was inspired by the entrepreneur’s love of streetwear blended with the feeling the weekend brings. “I’ve always loved fashion because I think its a way to show people who you are,” he tells Celeb Secrets. “When thinking about creating my own fashion line, I knew I wanted streetwear with an edge — so I came up with the idea ‘dirty weekend.'”
Filled with high-quality pieces that offer an effortlessly chic, affordable (prices range from $19-$119), and comfortable style, Sean says that the go-to staples Dirty Weekend offers — which includes hoodies, sweatpants, trucker hats and t-shirts — are made from luxurious fabrics that are meant to be worn all day, every day for any weekend affair.
“I want our consumer to afford it, but I also want them to feel comfortable wearing it,” he says.
Buyers of Dirty Weekend can expect a top-notch experience from the moment they order on the brand’s website to wearing their product, as Stewart takes pride in being as hands-on as possible with every aspect of his business.
“I’m a one man show that’s doing everything,” Sean laughs, “and sometimes it’s a little overwhelming and very stressful, but it’s rewarding when I see those orders. It’s a great feeling to do something you really love.”
And receiving the seal of approval from someone like his father and celebrities like Scott Disick and Madonna also keeps him going.
“[My father is] very proud,” the 41-year-old says.
As for what’s next, Sean says that Dirty Weekend plans to offer a monotone luxury leather collection featuring duffle bags and travel essentials made with the highest quality leather from Italy, which are sure to be essential travel items for any upcoming trips. He also plans on making denim jeans and jackets, as well as customizable designs that can be made into a product of the buyer’s choice.
“We are working on something right now where the buyer can send in a bunch of Polaroid photos in a PDF file and we turn it into products like a silk shirt, bedding, or even a bomber jacket,” he says with excitement.
Fans will also get to see what it’s really like for Sean to navigate Dirty Weekend real soon, as he says he’s working on a project that gives viewers a play-by-play on building the brand from the ground up.
“I’m putting together something that’s based around building ‘Dirty Weekend.’ People want to root for others and see them succeed, as well as the drama that goes into building a business. It’s going to be such a fun show,” he shares.
When it comes to long-term goals, Sean hopes that Dirty Weekend brings in the success he’s always dreamed of, along with brick-and-mortar stores where people can go out and buy DW items live and in person.
